[Clarissa is finally awake for the first time in hours, and the first thought that slowly pulls itself together through the sleepy and medicated haze is relief that she's not in the hospital. The world is blurred as she looks around, bleary and disorientated, but the lack of white and sterility around her is comforting. Just because she's spent so much of her life in and out of hospitals doesn't mean she doesn't hate them.

It had been a horrible few days, Clarissa knows that much, but thankfully she doesn't remember most of it. She does remember the ditch, and how she had begun falling before she had even realised there had been anything to fall into. She remembers how her head had struck something hard on the way down and how there had been a horrible, tearing pain in her side, more terrible than she thinks she's ever experienced, before she had blacked out.

What she doesn't remember is being found by a pair of Pokemon trainers who had happened to be passing and dragged to the island's only clinic, nor being sent straight into extensive surgery to remove the bits of tree-branch impaled in her side. But she remembers being briefly conscious in the clinic before falling back into medically-induced sleep.

...And now she's here, on the sofa in her own home, in her well-worn pull-over hooded sweatshirt and with one of the scruffy spare blankets over her. Right now that's all she cares about...although, there was one other thing...but right now she can barely think straight and is just tempted to fall straight back to sleep...]

[She definitely notices Silver's unusual gentleness but doesn't think too much of it; she knows he wouldn't be as careful if she weren't in her current state. It's still a little...odd, maybe? Not in a bad way, but again, it's just unusual. Then again, it's also unusual to have Silver worry for her so much.

Clarissa breaks off the kiss, letting her hands drop from where they'd still been holding onto Silver's clothes and pulls away. There's the smallest flicker of a smile before she looks up at him again.]

...Go sleep. [You really do look knackered, okay]

[nameissilver]

[He notices it, and that makes him smile a tiny bit]

...fine, but not cause you said to. I'm just tired. But...

[he can't believe he's about to say this]

Wake me if you need anything.

[bandagedbandit]

[Holy crap, Silver, you really are pushing the boat out on the whole caring-boyfriend thing today, huh? Clarissa gives a small nod.]

'kay...I'll be fine y'know, so just sleep, got that?

[Now that she's been awake and responsive there's no reason to fret anymore, right? Though Silver can sure she'll send out Clefairy to go pester him awake if she does need something.]

[nameissilver]

...all right.

[Silver heads back to his room, stumbling slightly, and falls into bed. He's out like a light in seconds.]

[She'll just rest some more, lying very still with her eyes closed. After a while she'll fall asleep again for a long time before alternating between being awake and just lightly dozing.]

[nameissilver]

[Sometime later, Silver wakes up feeling refreshed. Or as close to it as he can. With a yawn, he rolls out of bed and heads into the room where Clarissa rests; his hair is a mess and his clothes are mussed, too.]

[Clarissa's awake when Silver enters. She casts an eye over his dishevelled form — he didn't even bother to undress first? Oh well. He really must have been that tired, huh?]

Oh, hey...did y'sleep okay?

[nameissilver]

Yeah. [yawns, brushing his messy hair out of his face] ...you feeling any better?

[bandagedbandit]

I dunno. Kinda? [At least after all that sleep she feels more alert, even if the meds are still keeping her sluggish.]

[nameissilver]

...good.

[sits down at the other end of the couch, rubbing his still-bleary eyes]

[She struggles to sit up; it takes a bit of pained flinching, but she manages it. She leans weakly against the back of the sofa, still wincing a little, before patting the space next to her with her hand. She can't be bothered to be standoffish or pretend she doesn't want Silver to sit next to her right now.]

[nameissilver]

[moves closer to her, rolling his eyes] You could've just said you wanted me closer, you know.

[bandagedbandit]

[Hey. Hey. Normally she wouldn't even imply that she wants you closer, okay. This is as direct as it gets.]

Shut it. [She lets herself fall against him a little and rests her head on his shoulder.]

[nameissilver]

[He sighs, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her a little closer. Damn it, why does she have to be so damn cute sometimes?]

[She does it just to torment you I mean, what?

Clarissa gives a tiny sigh, inching slightly closer herself, keeping her head where it is; her hair looks like it exploded after days of sleeping and not having it brushed, and is sticking out in every direction.]

The next few weeks are gonna suck...

[nameissilver]

Yeah, they are. Glad I'm not you! [but he'll be here to try to take care of you anyway. Hope you don't mind a total fail nurse who can't cook!]

[bandagedbandit]

[Well, when she was living on her own with only her Pokemon to help her, whenever something like this happened she'd end up living off take-outs for ages, so surely this can't be any worse. ...Right?

Just don't add food poisoning to her list of issues and it'll be just fine.]

Tch, thanks, you're sooo kind! [HMPH.

At least with Silver to help out and give her actual human company this shouldn't be quite as bad as all the other times she's been laid-up like this.]

[nameissilver]

Yeah, well. [shakes his head, toying with her messy hair] You're lucky I like you so much. I wouldn't do this for just anyone.

[bandagedbandit]

[...Well, that's surprisingly honest. Damn, Silver, aren't you just full of surprises today. Clarissa's totally not blushing though. No, nope, nada. ...Okay, maybe just a tiny bit.]

Wha— why so... so... direct, right now? Huh? And hey, it's not like I asked you to do anything for me—! [Not...that she doesn't appreciate it or whatever...]

[nameissilver]

...I don't know! Maybe it's cause you look so pathetic and tired and I was wor- [coughs, turning red himself] I mean...well...you looked after me when I got kidnapped like a damsel, right?

[bandagedbandit]

[That blush just keeps getting deeper, dammit Silver!]

Y-yeah well... you might be the damsel but I'm not. I can take care of myself just— [..Wait for it...] ...Who did you just say looks pathetic?!

[Oh, oh no you didn't, if she wasn't in such a state she would kick your butt for that. FUUUUME.]

Oh, come on, I've said worse! [sticks his tongue out]

[Grumbles.] I do not look pathetic... [...She totally does. Sob, this never stops being embarrassing.]

[nameissilver]

Yeah, you kinda do. [he's smiling, though, aww...]

[She just looks up at him with a faint scowl, before huffing and turning her face away. But Silver may have caught how her cheeks had reddened just slightly.]
