Because you can never have enough hurt/comfort
[Clarissa is finally awake for the first time in hours, and the first thought that slowly pulls itself together through the sleepy and medicated haze is relief that she's not in the hospital. The world is blurred as she looks around, bleary and disorientated, but the lack of white and sterility around her is comforting. Just because she's spent so much of her life in and out of hospitals doesn't mean she doesn't hate them.
It had been a horrible few days, Clarissa knows that much, but thankfully she doesn't remember most of it. She does remember the ditch, and how she had begun falling before she had even realised there had been anything to fall into. She remembers how her head had struck something hard on the way down and how there had been a horrible, tearing pain in her side, more terrible than she thinks she's ever experienced, before she had blacked out.
What she doesn't remember is being found by a pair of Pokemon trainers who had happened to be passing and dragged to the island's only clinic, nor being sent straight into extensive surgery to remove the bits of tree-branch impaled in her side. But she remembers being briefly conscious in the clinic before falling back into medically-induced sleep.
...And now she's here, on the sofa in her own home, in her well-worn pull-over hooded sweatshirt and with one of the scruffy spare blankets over her. Right now that's all she cares about...although, there was one other thing...but right now she can barely think straight and is just tempted to fall straight back to sleep...]

She does it just to torment youI mean, what?Clarissa gives a tiny sigh, inching slightly closer herself, keeping her head where it is; her hair looks like it exploded after days of sleeping and not having it brushed, and is sticking out in every direction.]
The next few weeks are gonna suck...

Just don't add food poisoning to her list of issues and it'll be just fine.]
Tch, thanks, you're sooo kind! [HMPH.
At least with Silver to help out and give her actual human company this shouldn't be quite as bad as all the other times she's been laid-up like this.]

Wha— why so... so... direct, right now? Huh? And hey, it's not like I asked you to do anything for me—! [Not...that she doesn't appreciate it or whatever...]

Y-yeah well... you might be the damsel but I'm not. I can take care of myself just— [..Wait for it...] ...Who did you just say looks pathetic?!
[Oh, oh no you didn't, if she wasn't in such a state she would kick your butt for that. FUUUUME.]

Yeah, I know...but it wouldn't kill you to be less careless! [practice what you preach, Silver dear.]

You're so stupid. [She doesn't mean it, but this is just so old for her. She's been this way ever since she can remember...she's been covered in injuries and bandages ever since she can remember. And nobody has ever stopped telling her to just "be more careful", like she wouldn't be if she could.]

Ah—! [Her hand jumps automatically to wear her belt would usually be, her fingers passing through the air where her pokeballs are missing. Shit, she completely forgot about her team—] Where are my pokemon? You have them, right?

Yeah, okay. [As long as all her pokeballs are safe and not lost at the bottom of that damned ditch then it's fine by her. Like she needs her Haunter to be trolling her right now anyway, even if it would have been nice to have Clefairy around.]
