Of course I don't wan't it! But I can't— [She swallows hard and shakes her head, holding her stomach closer.] I don't want it...but I'm damn well keeping it.

Second trimester, week 22

[And so, Clarissa has finally resigned herself to the whole sitting around at home deal. Sort of. She's not happy about it. Of course she's damn well not, but now that she's beginning to look and feel more and more like a Wailmer, getting around is becoming more difficult. Waddling like an overweight Psyduck takes as much out of one's stamina as it does their sense of pride, and though Clarissa's still fighting to spend as much time away from the apartment as she can (which is never much time, granted, but it keeps off the cabin fever), some days that's really not happening.

Today is one of those days. Whenever Lance comes home from the base, he'll find his heavily pregnant girlfriend propped up with pillows on the sofa, a blanket draped over her as she doses in front of some inane midday chat show. Magmar and Clefairy sit at the other end of the sofa, keeping watch over their trainer as well as half-heartedly watching the TV. Human programming is strange.]
