[It's not such a good idea to take small victories for granted. Shadow failing to perform another impressive dodge is enough to allow Deoxys a few seconds of gloating. The spiky thing couldn't even dodge a standing....uh...floating attack like that. Pathetic.

Deoxys doesn't even have a second to react before he feels the impact of something slamming into the back of his head. Oh. Right. His brain is in his head in this form, huh...it's like humans were built to be breakable. His vision explodes with white light as pain thunders through his head like a train. The kick knocks him clean out of the air and he plummets downward; he fights to create a forcefield around himself, that only slightly cushions the blow as he slams into the concrete. The alien lies stunned on the cracked ground — which seems much more damaged than he does, ears ringing as he fights to regain his bearings.]
